Beautiful.

Now, I want to actually disable the mouse while when over a "List" Flex 3 component.
How do I do it? the event isn't cancelable, so calling "preventDefault()" on it does nothing.

Any idea?

nagarajan, if you want to move a text area change the srcroll position. If you want to move a movieclip or container just change it’s x and y position (or z if doing 3d) according to the direction of the mousewheel movement.
