Unity3D doesn't work for Linux. O3D is open source and it's just a matter of time before it's included in most Linux distros.

It would be nice if someone posted a comparison chart between Google's new O3D and Unity3D. I have yet to wrap my head around all the implications this has for the future of the 3D web.
Clearly O3D does not have all the power and functionality of Unity3D, but from the tutorials I noticed very quick load times for simple scenes but as they got more complex I think Unity would load faster. Unity3D costs money while O3D will probably be similar to Sketchup and have free and paid versions.
The good news is that Google is huge and very talented so the product will evolve quickly. I have a Google alert setup for Unity3D (and I guess I'll do the same for O3D) so I look forward for someone writing a nice comparison article.
